  2. The Famous 5 were Five Canadian Women who brought a landmark case before the Canadian Supreme Court in 1928. They challenged the status of women with the question "Does the word 'Persons' in section 24 of the British North America Act, 1867, include female persons?" and Canada's Supreme Court response was that women were not persons.

  4. Chinese immigrants in Canada:
    Canadian Gold Rush.
    WHO? Chinese immigrants
    WHERE? - Canada, BC
    WHEN? – 1900’s
WHAT?/WHY? – The people were abused for labor whether it is a life or death situation. The reason why they came to Canada was to start a new life. This was only the way they could start. A vast amount of them died because of the dangerous jobs they were assigned to do. Furthermore if they didn’t do what they were asked to do they wouldn’t have any money to support their family and would die of starvation and sickness.
